A bus crash early Wednesday morning sent 17 children from the Cleveland Independent School District to a neighboring hospital, the district said.
On Wednesday, a collision involving two Cleveland ISD school buses occurred at the junction of TX-321 and TX-105 in Cleveland.
According to the district, “ensuring that all students and staff [are] properly cared for by first responders on scene is our first priority.” 17 pupils were sent to the hospital for assessment out of a sense of caution.
Regarding the pupils involved in the collision, district authorities spoke with parents personally. After being assessed and cleared, the students were brought to CMS, where they are presently under the care of CMS nurses.
In a social media message, the district stated that it is closely collaborating with law enforcement to look into the event and will provide updates as necessary. We appreciate the first responders’ prompt help.
