Seat Pleasant, Maryland —
According to authorities, a 13-year-old girl’s mother shot her in the neck after a domestic argument on Monday night, and the kid is currently in critical condition.
A residence in Prince George’s County, close to the Seat Pleasant Police Department, was the site of the shooting.
Authorities arrested Talecka Brown, 32, the girl’s mother, on accusations of first-degree attempted murder, based on surveillance video and more investigation.
Responding officers discovered a juvenile girl with gunshot wounds near the front door after responding to the report on 69th Place. According to the girl’s initial account to the police, her mother had told her to fabricate a story about someone else shooting her.

That wasn’t the case, though, as the cops soon realized.
Footage from the surveillance system shows the adolescent coming home from school, picking up a garbage can from the street, and going into the residence.
Court records indicate that no one else was present in the house between the girl’s entrance and the gunshot.
Investigators were told by the girl that she and her mother were in the midst of an argument when things got violent.
