Even though December has only just begun, the city is already bustling with holiday-related activities.
Big Brothers/Big Sisters is having a holiday market just on Saturday. Fallbrook Church is as well. The annual Katy Old Fashioned Christmas is being held by Limited Edition Art and Antiques. Heck, on Saturday, League City will host the Purple Ravens Misfit Market’s Krampus Kristmas event.
In addition to all the seasonal activities, individuals celebrate the holidays in a variety of ways. Some people may be financially strapped. Others may have a loved one serving in the armed forces. Some people may have recently lost a significant other. On a lighter note, some people may simply be worn out from all the shopping.
The Houston Ensemble Theatre’s original production, Twelve Ways of Christmas, which runs until December 22, showcases that diversity.
Producer Laura Walker of Houston Matters attended a recent performance and spoke with main actor Bridgjette Taylor Jackson and director Aisha Ussery about the show and the reasons Ussery returns to The Ensemble.
