With the addition of Houston’s own professional women’s volleyball team to League One Volleyball, the city’s professional sports teams are still expanding.

With teams in six cities—Houston, Austin, Madison, Atlanta, Omaha, and Salt Lake City—LOVB Pro kicks off its first season this year.

The clubs’ 14-week schedule of games will end with a final series in Louisville, Kentucky, in April.

The first game for LOVB Houston is scheduled for Thursday, January 9th at 7 PM at the Fort Bend County Epicenter in Rosenberg, Texas. ESPN+ will also broadcast the game live.

Joshua Zinn, producer of Houston Matters, meets with founder athletes Jordan Thompson and Micha Hancock, head coach Massimo Barbolini, and assistant coach Paula Weissoff in the audio above.
