LOUISVILLE, KY: A guy from southern Indiana has been charged by the Kentucky attorney general’s office with cheating the state’s Medicaid program.
Attorney General Russell Coleman made the statement on Monday, stating that Gary Waldman, 55, of Salem, has been charged with one count of planning or carrying out a scheme to defraud the Kentucky Medical Assistance Program of at least $1,000.
Waldman is accused by the OAG of organizing a scheme to obtain funds from the program by submitting fictitious paperwork to receive payments exceeding $1,000.
The state brought the matter before a grand jury in Franklin County.
If found guilty, Waldman might spend up to five years behind bars.
When exactly he will appear in court is unknown.
