Bhalla taps new chief of staff

According to a statement released on Friday, Christine Stoll was appointed as the chief of staff by Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla.

Another former Bhalla head of staff, Assemblyman John Allen (D-Hoboken), had Stoll as his chief of staff. Bhalla is running for the lower house to succeed Allen, who is not running for reelection.

Stoll spent a number of years in the state government of New York, most recently as Governor Kathy Hochul’s director of special events.

According to Bhalla, Stoll was instrumental in obtaining funds for constituent services, infrastructure, and schools in Hoboken. Next Friday marks the start of Stoll’s hiring.

According to a release from Bhalla, Christine is uniquely equipped to assume this crucial position because of her extensive expertise and shown dedication to public service. She will be a valuable asset to my administration and the City of Hoboken because of her knowledge of how the government functions, her capacity to interact with a variety of stakeholders, and her history of successfully serving the community.

Additionally, Stoll served as a staffer for New York City Councilwoman Elizabeth Crowley and as chief of staff to New York Assemblyman Mike Miller.

“I am thrilled to work with such committed public servants and am honored to be a part of Mayor Bhalla’s team,” Stoll stated. It’s an honor to serve the people of Hoboken in this new role, and I’m excited to contribute to projects that improve everyone’s quality of life and fortify the Hoboken community.
