As a historic snowstorm blasted into Houston Tuesday morning, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez reported that two infants and a mother were found lying on the ground with injuries from frigid weather.
In the 12000 block of Veterans Memorial Drive in northwest Houston, deputies from the sheriff’s office received a 911 call on Tuesday regarding a mother and two infants who were lying on the sidewalk. According to Gonzalez’s post on X, the youngsters were found to be two months and a year old.

Gonzalez said the woman, who was recognized as the children’s mother, displayed signs of intoxication. According to Gonzalez, the children were suffering from cold-related injuries when EMS personnel came and provided assistance.
Later Tuesday morning, it was unclear what condition the mom and kids were in. An email asking for more details was not immediately answered by the sheriff’s office.
