Paul Penna, an analyst, was elevated to the position of director of government affairs by the New Jersey State League of Municipalities.
Prior to becoming a senior legislative analyst, Penna began her career with the League in 2020 as a legislative analyst. Penna will concentrate on the League’s advocacy efforts, according to the League.
According to NJLM executive director Michael F. Cerra, Paul has been a cooperative team player and problem solver since day one. He has been an outspoken supporter of local issues before the state legislature, state executive branch, Congress, and federal executive branch on a wide range of topics, including the elimination of the SALT cap deduction, the ongoing problems with the State Health Benefits Program, and increases in workers’ compensation costs.
According to the statement, Penna will be present at the statehouse to advocate for municipalities.
Alpine Mayor and League President Paul Tomasko stated that elected leaders have depended on Paul to promote local problems in New Jersey. Those in charge of local governance greatly benefit from his subject-matter expertise.
