Any new rider who takes TANK Plus to Kroger within the Campbell County service area will get a $5 Kroger gift card as part of a new partnership announced Monday by the Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky (TANK) and Kroger. Each household is eligible for one $5 gift card.
TANK Plus has been offering riders simple curb-to-curb transportation or a connection to a TANK fixed route transfer point since its August launch.
Gina Douthat, general manager of TANK, stated, “We are thrilled to have reached this six-month milestone and grateful for our riders’ ongoing support.” With the kind assistance of Kroger, we can provide riders with quicker access to fresh food while also helping to defray the cost of their first TANK Plus journey. This is only one of the ways we’re working to continue making transportation more accessible and easy for everyone.
In some areas of Campbell County, TANK Plus service is offered Monday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Within the service area are two Kroger locations: the Highland Heights store in Cold Spring, which is situated at 70 Martha Layne Collins Blvd., and the Newport Marketplace, which is situated at 130 Pavilion Pkwy. Go to tankbus.org to find out if you are in the Tank Plus zone.
Jenifer Moore, corporate relations manager for Kroger’s Cincinnati/Dayton division, stated that the company is pleased to collaborate with TANK to promote its on-demand service in order to provide access to fresh food and necessities for residents in northern Kentucky. This investment demonstrates our dedication to fostering strong community partnerships as we strive to end hunger in the future through our Zero Hunger | Zero Waste project.
The TANK and Kroger gift card offer is valid while gift cards are still available or until August 13, which is the one-year anniversary of the TANK Plus launch.
Riders can use the TANK+ app, which is accessible on Google Play and the App Store, or give 859-331-8265 a call to make their reservation.
