Rodino, a Democrat from Newark who was in Congress from 1949 to 1989 and the head of the House Judiciary Committee for sixteen years. Spinelli is the author of Watergate’s Unexpected Hero: The Life of Peter W. Rodino Jr. and was Rodino’s press secretary.Later, Spinelli served as the communications director for U.S. Senator Joe Biden for five years.
