KCTV, Kansas City, Missouri – A Florida guy was accused of election fraud in Kansas and is currently being held under custody.
George Andrews, 30, of Dade City, Florida, was arrested on February 10th, following the forging of signatures on petitions seeking Kansas to recognize “No Labels” as a political party.
Following an inquiry, Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach’s office ordered Andrews’ arrest.
According to Kobach, “the arrested person was a part of a scheme to defraud Kansas voters by forging their signatures on petitions.” “We prosecute every case where the evidence indicates a crime has been committed beyond a reasonable doubt. In Kansas, we take election fraud seriously.”
Two counts of election perjury and twenty-eight counts of election forgery were brought against Andrews. He will appear in Johnson County District Court after arriving in Kansas.
