They borrowed the idea from Cook County, Illinois, which used money to pay off medical debt. The innovative strategy of RIP Medical Debt is assisting a lot of people with their medical bills.

NYC Adopts Cook County’s Strategy

In 2022, Cook County, Illinois, made an initial try at this novel approach to medical debt settlement. Washington, D.C., Wayne County, Toledo, Akron, Cleveland, and New Orleans are among the other cities that are doing the same. Recently, New York City joined. A fantastic idea that gives hope to more people in need of medical bill assistance is gaining traction.
